Came here for breakfast. I had the machaca with eggs. Hubby got 3 pancakes with bacon. The beef in the machack was very tender and moist. Eggs were cooked just right. The pancakes were very large and very fluffy. Hubby thought the bacon was chewy. He likes it crispy. Next time he should order crispy. My go to meal is the chili verde plate. Very clean place with about 6 tables. Order at the counter (cash or check only) and William brings your food to the table. He is very hospitable and friendly. I try to go about once a month. I love this place. Free parking in parking lot next to a bike shop

Same menu. Same salsas. Same great burrito. Folks behind the counter were very friendly and engaging. Took my custom order for a breakfast burrito with no trouble and I got exacted burrito I wanted.

Amazing quality food. This place is cash only and you order at the counter then choose a seat. I went for breakfast today and split the little cactus plate and machaca breakfast burrito. Both were super good, I liked the spice level and tenderness of the machaca especially. I'll definitely be back here again. Small inside but lots of tables. Indoor and outdoor seating as well.

Cute spot! I got their carnitas burrito and my husband got their chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were HUGE portions! It was great since we had leftovers but you can easily split one burrito between two people. Both had great favor and didn't skimp out on anything. We went on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy but the food came out quick. It is cash only so just keep that in mind! It's in a strip mall so there is a small parking lot but majority of the parking is street. Definitely recommend this place! Very cute.

Ambiance Small and very welcoming. Very clean. Customer service You have to order at counter. Staff friendly and made some menu recommendations. Eggs over Chile Colorado Very tender beef, mild spice and finishes with a hint of sweetness, I normally like more spicey but it works. There is a salsa bar ingredients look fresh. Home style potatoes very good. Will return to try the Little Cactus Special. Only caveat is they only take cash or check. I never carry cash but had a some today.

I wish there were MORE stars I could give this lovely mid-town eatery! A true local neighborhood gem. Not on the "tourist list", but if you know, then you know! Authentic Mexican food at its best. Menu is not large but well appointed. Small indoor seating with a few outside tables. Just a quaint little spot. Please, please, please understand and accept the fact that they do not take cards for payment...CASH is King here (or check), however there is an ATM somewhere in the area. You will not go wrong with this place. Oh, and BTW ....the salsa bar is small but some of the best homemade salsas I have ever tasted!

My girlfriend and I went here on a Saturday morning, it was very lively, but service was fast as the food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. We ordered the huevos rancheros and the chili Colorado. Important note: They ONLY accept CASH or CHECK as forms of payment.

I discovered Nopalito's many years ago. It's in East Sacramento in the same shopping center that The Beat used to be in for years. I loved the food there, but the hours they were open were limited to breakfast and lunch M-F. It just wasn't all that convenient to get there. Fast forward to recently walking with friends around McKinley Park and us wanting lunch afterwards. We went to Nopalito's. I was surprised that neither of my friends had heard of it. ( Boy, were they in for a pleasant surprise.) I ordered the spicy pork quesadilla. My friends ordered various taco plates. We took our numbers to an outside table to sit as we had our well-behaved dog with us. The plates came out quickly. Since we all had skipped breakfast and we're hungry, this was welcome. Then I noticed the hours posted. They were now open until 8pm! I'm going to be eating here more often, now! Apparently, there's a new owner, and that's the reason for the expansion of hours.
